just how much the cruze looks like the focus. I think I like the cruze better even though this is just the RS. Hope they come out with a hi-po version.
I think the chevy shape for the body is more attractive with the more defined line from taillight through door handles. The chrome makes it look more high end and the spoiler and front end look more integrated. I like how the eye follows the roof line to the back and follows down the side of the car with the body line.

Agreed, although I’m not a huge fan of the plastic lattice in the lower grill of the Chevy. Throw some black mesh in there and I’m sold. Here’s to hoping for an SS version.

TBH, I think the focus is one of the ugliest cars being made today. Way too many discordant creases ruin what is otherwise a pretty well proportioned vehicle.

yeah I would have to agree with you I am glad you pointed that out It was something I liked about the cruze its much more integrated. I think I never really liked the focus just parts and angles of it mostly the bulged hood lines and the grill opening and the rearmost side windows shape.

Because it is an Astra. Well, based on the new 2015+ Astra K, not on the older Astra J you pictured though.

Idk, just on the eyeball test I see similarities, but not enough to call it a clone or anything. Although this version of the Cruze isn’t out yet, I still think its going to be in line with the Velosters of the world for performance than the Focus ST’s of the world.

GM’s strongest suit is styling. The problem has always been crappy interiors and niggling reliability/maintenance issues.
My car is a Focus ST, as pictured above, except white. The non-ST and non-RS versions of the Focus are not as aggressive looking. What mine lacks in style it makes up for in performance, reliability, interior, and quality.

I used to like the Focus until this gen, the facelift has made it better but the Golf and Astra (also cruze now) were always better looking.

How does it compare in your eyes to it’s platform mate the Vauxhall/Opel Astra?
Also, Wagon.

It’s very close but I like the front end of the chevy better. Except the vauxhall has a neat black detail of the c pillar and I dont like how the chevy bumper is black on the extreme lower and goes up a bit in center making the front end look wierd and too high.

I am a fan of the focus ST the styling issues wouldn’t stop me from buying one. interior quality doesnt really bother me i prefer simple interiors and am not one of those people who scratch the dashboard and so cheap plastic doesnt bother me...usually.
